Our story began with an idea. We wanted to TEACH KIDS to express themselves through Photography, turning our hobby into something more. Bringing THIS BEAUTiful art FORM to SChool AGED children.

Photography is a wonderful art, but an expensive one. This means young people may not have access to the tools needed to explore the field. We hope to bridge this gap and let kids explore what the professionals are using, sparking new interests.

Through bringing professional cameras to schools and community programs city-wide, we create fun hands-on class to enhance self expression and story telling.

Owner Gabriel Johnson is a working studio photographer and father of a 12 year old. He has worked in the child education field collectively for 12 years. His early education experience comes from working in Harlem as a Program Leader in the Polo Grounds Community Center. This is where the birth of KCC happened. Since then, KCC has grown into a standalone program. During 2022, we held a Go Fund me to acquire cameras and other equipment needed to make this a success! With the raised funds, we were able to acquire enough cameras to provide a class of 16 students.

We have working with programs like Cypress Hills Development Project, Horizons NYC, Launch Charter School, Boys and Girls club and more. We love to add your school to the list!
